Pop-up fun!
I love perusing the children's book section not only because of Jack, but because the breadth of art is just amazing!
I've always loved the illustration work that goes into children's books -- and I have to share my latest purchase:
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, the pop-up book by J. Otto Seibold. (He's the same artist that did the illustrations for Olive, the other reindeer).

I've always loved pop-up books as a kid (because, really who doesn't?), with all the tabs to pull and the things that move... As an adult I can appreciate the paper engineering that goes into each spread. If you look around enough, there are certainly other pop-up books out there. One of the most amazing things about my purchase though: the price tag at only $5.99! (it's usually $30 CAD) at Chapters online. (It's also available in the 'Bargain' section of the kids' books in the Chapters stores, since that's where I got mine.
It'll be kept out of reach from Jack for a few years but it will sure be fun for the grown-ups ;)
Postscript: Oh, and it looks like Olive is on sale too!
